Yard Work

On Monday 9/8 I did some yard work. I trimmed back one whole set of shrubs and saved another long row for another day. I love yard work. Weed eating, trimming shrubs, cutting grass. It is all fun. But not this time. The next day I noticed that my eye was starting to swell and I had some poison ivy bumps on my arm. By the time I get the kids from school and get settled enough to call the Dr. it was too late. The office had closed. My only option was the ER. I knew what I( would look like by morning. The doc pretty much yelled at me for not taking care of it sooner. Mind you she walks into the room and finds me helping Noah with homework and John sitting there. Hmm, maybe I was a little busy. Then she yelled at me for not taking something OTC. I have health issues that prevent that. She then said none of it was true and here is a script for a steroid. Oh well. However, I am glad I went. Because it got bad, quick.

Saturday

Then on Saturday my landlord shows up at the door. He looks at me like I had blood pouring from my head or something. Come to find out, a neighbor had called the city and complained that the property was in disrepair. I told him the whole story and he laughed off the neighbor. He gave me orders that I am to not do a thing in the back yard ever again. He wont have to tell me twice. He finished cutting the rest of the shrubs for me.
